Somers home values grew nearly five times faster than the national average. That means local equity is building at a pace most U.S. markets did not see.

The Real Estate Data Aggregator found that 62.2% of homes in ZIP 06071 sold above list price in the three months ending July 31, 2026. The average sale came in at 102.8% of the asking price. Not every home sailed over asking, but most did.

New listings in ZIP 06071 slipped 5.6% from a year before, the Real Estate Data Aggregator shows. Fewer sellers came to market. That kept the pool of available homes tight. Pending sales, though, rose 15.4% from a year before, which points to steady buyer interest.

One broader note: CNBC reported the average 30-year fixed mortgage rate at 7.45% as of September 24, 2026. That is a real cost for buyers. It has not stopped demand in Somers so far, but it is worth keeping in mind when you price or plan.

Also worth noting: Realtor.com reported that 20.4% of listings nationally saw a price cut in August 2026. Somers did not follow that pattern in the period ending July 31, 2026, with prices rising and most homes selling over asking.
